The Journey of Getting and Staying Fit for Life:

By: Stephen and Judy Uzelac

Current reality is exactly where you are financially, mentally, physically, and spiritually.  A vision that ignites your soul is where you want to be financially, mentally, physically, and spiritually.  In between “Current Reality” and Vision, is opportunity and roadblocks.  We can also view the “GAP” as to what will create discomfort or comfort in your actions.  If our actions bring us pain (discomfort/anxiety), we will be less likely to seek opportunity.  If no-action continues to bring us pleasure (comfort/satisfaction) then we can become trapped in a roadblock.  Remember the saying “no pain”, “no gain.”  If we continue to do things the way we have always done them, we will continue to get the same results.  So if we are avoiding the things we should be doing because they may create pain, discomfort or some short term anxiety, then it is time to change your internal roadmap.

Some people are faced with the “victim roadmap,” while others choose the “opportunity roadmap.”  The victim is someone who believes that no matter what they do, they will never reach their dream.  Such people have a tendency to blame others for their shortcomings; they wait and hope that things will improve.  While victims are waiting, opportunist are finding solutions and making things happen.  Victims operate from a pessimistic paradigm, while opportunists operate from an optimistic paradigm.

We believe that each individual has been empowered with the freedom to choose.  Sometimes it appears that the accountability paradigm is the road less traveled and many fall victim to life’s ups and downs.  We believe that people get comfortable with what they have and in many cases they don’t want to accept the challenge and commit to the time that it takes to accomplish more in life.  They just keep dreaming and are in the zone of complacency.
